One of the core competencies of SFSI as a holding company is to assist in the development of teaming and other arrangements with partner companies. The SFSI management team is critical to the construction of SBA-approved Mentor-Protégé Arrangements, Joint Ventures and S9.6 Teaming Agreements.

Mentor-Protégé Agreements

By SBA regulations, SFSI subsidiaries are permitted two Mentor-Protégé relationships during their life as an 8(a) company. Mentor-Protégé Agreements (MPA’s) are the only way an 8(a) company can joint venture with a large company. Currently, SFS Global has an MPA with Tiburon Associates, Inc. that holds two very large IDIQ contracts (TACOM ERS3) and Navy GBS.

The SBA recently approved SIRCOMed’s MPA with a large staffing company out of San Antonio, TX.

SFSI Joint Ventures

SFSI Management help craft Joint Venture Agreements for its subsidiaries. Unless pursuant to an SBA-approved Mentor-Protégé Agreement, all Joint Ventures are with other small businesses

SFSG/Tiburon JV – A Joint Venture with Tiburon Associates Inc. to provide facilities maintenance, logistics and production support services. This JV has been successful in securing slots on both the Army’s Tank Automotive Command (TACOM) ERS3 schedule and the Navy’s Global Business Services contract.

SFSX Global JV – A Joint Venture based in Huntsville, Alabama focused on procurement
assistance and training.

SIRCO Technical – A Joint Venture with D&D Machinery (San Antonio) focused on Aircraft Ground Equipment Manufacture and refurbishment

SIRCO R&D – A Joint Venture focused on electronics repair and maintenance

SIRCO IT – A DC Metro area Joint Venture focused on providing professional and administrative services.

SFSG-Edgewater JV – A Joint Venture formed with Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. for provision of innovative IT Professional Services to the US Government.
